I'm of two minds about what I see going on about Obamacare.
On the one hand, millions of Americans have lost their affordable healthcare. I take no pleasure in their worry or suffering. Because of Todd's health situation, we can fully appreciate what these families and individuals are going through.
On the other hand, watching Obama and the rest of the Democrats twist in the wind while they try to find a way to blame somebody, anybody else for the mess they created when they rammed Obamacare through with NO REPUBLICAN VOTES is absolutely delicious and has had me giggling all the way to and from work for weeks.
If I hear one more sound bite of Obama explaining that what he meant by, "If you like your healthcare policy, you can keep your healthcare policy." was actually, "Let me be clear. You're going to lose your current healthcare and be forced to buy "better" coverage you don't want/need for much higher premiums/deductibles." I'm going to laugh so hard that I run off the road.
In Greek mythology, hubris (pride, vanity, arrogance) is always eventually punished by Nemesis, the goddess of fate and retribution. Nemesis has been smacking the President around fairly mercilessly lately. Unfortunately, I'm fairly sure the ridiculous narcissist thinks too well of himself to learn a lesson from the experience.
One of my favorite writers from National Review is Jonah Goldberg. He had an article yesterday that proves I'm not the only evil person out there who is enjoying the situation Obama and the Democrats have put themselves in. It's worth the read. Obamacare Schadenfreudarama
